He is survived by: his parents, Alfred Eugene of Muscatine and Retha Colvin Monroe Sr. of Virginia; and his siblings, Gary Monroe (Katie) of Rock Island, Marsha Monroe of Iowa City, Patrick Monroe of Glenwood, Tracey Monroe of Muscatine, Brian Monroe of Muscatine, Kevin Monroe (Melody) of Maryland and Heather Monroe of Iowa City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
