He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank A. Nelson and Dorothea W. DeCamp Nelson; and his sisters, Joyce Caldwell and Mary Ann Tooman. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nelson of Muscatine; his children, Gregory Nelson, Cory Nelson of Muscatine, Cody Nelson of Muscatine and Allen Nelson (Brenda) of North Liberty; his grandchildren, Brad Nelson, Tiffany Nelson of Des Moines, Alex Nelson and Matt Nelson of North Liberty; his children, Jarad Kraft (Kayla) of Wapello and Neal Nelson (Judi) of Fruitland; his grandchildren, Jenni Gales (John) of Fruitland, Austin Nelson of Lakeville, Stephanie Dietrich of Muscatine and Maddison Olsen of Muscatine; his children, Amy Olsen of Ames and Mark Nelson; his granddaughters, Hannah of Bettendorf and Ava Nelson of Bettendorf; his great grandchildren, Lydia, Laila, Carter, Eli, Kinley and Leo; and his sister Linda Alberti (Kerry) of Glen Allen, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
