He was predeceased by: his mother Mindy Jo Sexton (Ford); his grandfather Greg Sexton; and his great-grandparents, Daniel and Helen Ford. He is survived by: his wife Ericka Rife; his daughter Aubrey Sexton; his father Chad Sexton (Melinda Phillips) of Moscow; his grandparents, Daniel and Sherry Ford of Muscatine; and his great-grandparent Betty Thompson of Muscatine. He is also survived by several nieces, nephew, aunts and uncles.
