He was predeceased by : his parents, John F. Timm and Florence M. Schell Timm; his son Marvin 'Johnny Jr.; and his sister Mardell Lanfier. He is survived by : his wife Vada Timm of Muscatine; his children, Jean Reynolds (David) of West Liberty, Julie Ravenscraft (Sam) of Muscatine, Jay Timm (Elizabeth) of Wadsworth, Janis Paulson (Mark) of Huntington Beach and Jillaine Strong (David) of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Kate Reynolds (Matt Cornett), Kelsey DeCasas (Dane), Jayme Whitehall (Laura), Shawn Ravenscraft (Ashley), Aaron Ravenscraft (Brittany), Shelby Timm, Lauren Timm, Amanda Clewell (Alex), Leigha Parker, Alex Strong (Melanie) and Adalene Strong (Kevin Brockert); his great grandchildren, Wesley, Ruby, Devon, Kaitlynn, Tyler, Jayson, Mason, Hank, Camden, Blakely, Teagan, Tucker, Presley and Asher; and his brothers, John Timm (Leah) of Muscatine and Delmar Timm (Alice) of Lincoln, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 12th 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home (1931 Houser St, Muscatine, IA 52761). A funeral mass was held on Monday, April 12th 2021 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mathias Church (215 W 8th St, Muscatine, IA 52761).

Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Cemetery Association.
