He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford N. Bailey and Willodean Ames Bailey; and his brother Glen. He is survived by: his former wife Virginia Lorayne Britt; his wife Helen Elder of Muscatine; his daughter Brenda Ortiz (Baltazar) of Macon, Missouri; his stepchildren, Matt Elder of Muscatine, Mark Elder (Melissa) of Durant and Amy Curtis of Iowa City; his grandsons, Matthew of California and Eric Ortiz of California; his stepgrandchildren, Ashton, Ethan Elder of Muscatine, Evan, Abby Elder of Durant, Treyton Curtis of Muscatine, Kaylee Stecher of Iowa City, Gabriella and Nolan Garrison of Iowa City; his great grandchildren, Micah of California, Chloe of California, Olivia of California and Vivienne Ortiz of California; and his siblings, Clifford Bailey (Marilyn) of Tulsa and Delight Willingham (Larry) of Macon.
