It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Elaine Gordy (Muscatine, Iowa), who passed away on August 26, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chet Newton and Dorothy Newton (Hill); her husband John Wayne Gordy; her daughter Mary Gordy; her granddaughter Jody Smith; and her brother Roland Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Gordy of Muscatine, Terry Blaesing (Mike) of Muscatine, Julie Gordy of Muscatine, Brenda Gordy of Muscatine, Kelly Gordy of Muscatine, John C. Gordy of Muscatine and Shelly Brus of Muscatine. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and siblings.
