He is survived by: his wife Lois A. Downey of Muscatine; his children, Susy Rankins of Davenport and Ed Downey (Sarah) of Fruitland; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Grace Downey, Eric Slater and Kierra Rankins; his siblings, Nancy Weber (Jim) of Illinois City, Illinois and Clark Downey (Pat) of Illinois City, Illinois; his sister-in-law Barbara Downey of Illinois City, Illinois; and his close friend Walter Schreurs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
