She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenz Zander and Selma Zander (Bergmann); her husband William Elston Bravener; her grandchild Ascension; her siblings, Kathryn O'Neill (Robert C.), Arlene Denner (William), Lorraine Eiler (Leonard), Colletta and Robert D. Boos (Rita); her siblings' children, Scott O'Neill and Betty Gorman (Jack); Janola Selck and Beverly Shinstine.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Nicole Smith of Charles City and Haley Clark; her stepgranddaughter Jenna Clark of Waterloo; her great grandchildren, Krystina Campbell and Skyler Smith of Cedar Falls; her stepgreat-granddaughter Liliana McFadden of Waterloo; her stepchildren, Sheryl Bruch (Steven) of New Hampton, William J. Bravener (Pauline) of Sumner and Susan Graeser (Kevin) of Nashua; and her sons-in-law, Lloyd Selck of Sumner and Everett Shinstine of Ionia. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home - New Hampton (101 W Main St, New Hampton, IA 50659). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church - New Hampton (223 S Water Ave, New Hampton, IA 50659).
