He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Speltz and Marie Speltz (Mersch); his grandsons, Alexander Speltz and Ryan Speltz; and his siblings, Norman (Red), Benny, Arnie, Len Speltz and Lorraine Ball.
He is survived by: his child Patrice; his wife Vonnie; his children, Tom Speltz (Deb) of New Hampton, Dave Speltz (Valerie) of Swisher, IA, Ron Speltz (June) of Ely, IA, Pat Krueger (Paul) of New Hampton, Annie Speltz of New Hampton and Julie Denner (Tim) of New Hampton; and his siblings, Cyril Speltz (Joan) of Minneapolis, Nora Vobr (Ray) of Cresco and Mary Buckendahl of New Hampton. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to the Lawler American Legion.
