We are sad to announce that on February 2, 2024, at the age of 78, Merlyn F. Zipse (New Hampton, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Fay Zipse and Evelyn Zipse (Drewelow); his parents-in-law, Ray and Margaret Berry; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Huffman and Ron Larsen.

He is survived by : his wife Jeanne Berry; his children, Lori Sheehy (John) of Mosinee, WI and Jerry Zipse of Frederika, IA; his grandson Cody Sheehy (Jodi Meyer) of Madison, WI; his siblings, Dennis Zipse (Marge) of New Hampton, Sue Zipse of West Union, IA and Julie Keller (Bruce) of Lakeland, CO; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Huffman of Waterloo, IA, Janice Berry of Osage, IA and Pat Berry of Shellsburg, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at the New Hampton City Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 2nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chickasaw Event Center (301 N Water Ave, New Hampton, IA 50659).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.
