He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Burgart and Virginia Burgart (Johnston); his stepmother Mavis Burgart; his siblings, Cheryl Lechtenberg, Roger Burgart, Rocky Burgart, Rance Burgart and Joseph Burgart; and his nephew Brian Folkers.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Burgart of New Hampton, IA; his daughter Christina López (Alberto) of Los Angeles, CA; his grandchildren, Alejandro López, Lucrecia López and Raya Neitzke; his siblings, Rick Burgart (Jan) of New Hampton, IA, Dianne Dann of Fredericksburg, IA, Barbara Folkers (Dennis) of Oelwein, IA, Dixie Joebgen (Jim) of North Washington, IA and Dawn Eichenberger (John) of Lawler, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Kenny Lechtenberg of North Washington, IA, Mary Burgart of Sumner, IA and Sue Burgart of New Hampton, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 208 W Main St, Fredericksburg, IA 50630.
