It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Marie Allen of New Hampton, Iowa, born in Lamont, Iowa, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, C. Willard Means and Aletha Means (Fry); her sons, Brian and Dean; and her children-in-law, Bill Gebel, Sharon Allen, Deb Allen and Barb Schuler.

She is survived by : her children, Gary of Meridian, ID, Darwin of Waverly, IA and Karen Montgomery (Don) of Burlingame, KS; her daughters-in-law, Julie DeSloover (Roger) of Fredericksburg, IA and Monica Allen of Red Bluff, CA; her brother Warren Means (Bud) of Fredericksburg, IA.; her granddaughters, Staci Allen and Debbie Annin; and her close friend Jesse. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 2 bonus grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 8 bonus great-grandchildren; one great great grandson; 12 bonus great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial suggestions are Harvest Church, Chickasaw County Pioneer Cemetery restoration or Carnegie Cultural Center.
