She was predeceased by : her parents, Louis Berns and Clara Berns (Harter); her husband Roger J. Krapfl; her daughter-in-law Mary Krapfl; her grandson Austin Krapfl; her siblings, Peter Berns, Roland Berns, Claudine Goedken (McClane), Laura Sudmeier, Clara Ann Neuhaus, Helene Sudmeier and Aloys Berns; and her fathers-in-law, Bob Krapfl and Dan Hermsen.

She is survived by : her children, Jim Krapfl (Jodi) of Des Moines, IA, Jack Krapfl (Pat) of Guttenberg, Jane Heims (Denny) of Dyersville, Joe Krapfl of North Liberty, IA, Jeff Krapfl (Laurie) of Dyersville, Mike Krapfl of Earlville, IA, Mark Krapfl (Jan) of Cedar Rapids, Marty Krapfl (Sheila) of Dyersville and Jeni Schindler (Joe) of Dyersville; her brother Louis Berns of Monona; and her parents-in-law, Rosie Berns of Garnavillo, Nellie Krapfl of New Vienna, IA, Don Krapfl (Jean) of New Vienna, IA and Jean Hermsen of Dyersville, IA.. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
