She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Buttz and Julia Buttz (Kern); her husband Leonard Petty; her daughter Gail Stump; her sons-in-law, Robert Outhouse and Mike Stump; and her brothers, Guy Butts and Roy Butts.

She is survived by: her daughter Dana Outhouse (Petty). She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and her sisters.

Memorials may be designated to Velma's family or to a charity of your choice.
