It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Edd Parsons (North English, Iowa), who passed away on January 16, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Alva Parsons and Bertha Parsons (Willard); his spouse Mary Lou Rutledge; his daughter Rosemary Sue Parsons; his siblings, Darlene Holden, Claude, Glenn and Marion Lee Parsons; and his great grandchild Boone DeJarnatt.

He is survived by : his children, Donald, Vickie Parsons of Belle Plaine, Judie, Gordon Russell of Oxford, Jeffery and Kathleen Schakel of Cedar Rapids; and his grandchildren, Adam, Jodi Parsons, Krista, Jeremey White, Gordon Russell III, Amy, Jon Burg, Tyler Russell, Justin, Sonja Parsons, Mary, Philip DeJarnatt, Spring, Matt Hudson and Mollie Kathleen Schakel. He is also survived by twenty two great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.
