He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Monroe Snipes and Mattie Amanda Stevens; his daughter Lori; his stepdaughter Carol Jean Hill; and his sisters, Iva Dean Watkins and Madeleen Hammock.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Worthington (Joel) of Newton and Holly Benge (Chad) of Orient; and his stepchildren, Pam Llewellyn (Joe) of Alaska, Sandi Losee of Des Moines, Carla Trewett (Rob) of Montana, Becky Johnson (Kevin) of Ankeny, Chad Hill of Alaska, Joe Hill (Sharon) of Norwalk, Robin Frohock (Trent) of Altoona, Brian Hill, Kristin Kelly (Patrick) of Tennessee and Matthew Hill (Amy) of Colorado. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
