He is survived by: his wife Linda Butler of Norwalk; his children, Joseph Jr. Butler (Michelle) of Norwalk, Edwin "Eddy" Butler of Ankeny, IA and Jennifer "Jen" Thomas (Conrad) of Des Moines; his daughter-in-law Christine Butler of Texas; and his brother Phillip (Elaina Butler) of Des Moines. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
