He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Bane (Taylor); his brother Terry Bane; and his brothers-in-law, Doug Kunze and Raymond Najjar.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Bane of Oakland; his children, Michael Bane (Kristy) of Oakland, IA, Corey Bane of Council Bluffs, IA and Kimberly Bane Schwarte (David) of Oakland, IA; his grandchildren, Drake Bane (Hanna), Dallas Bane, Jacob Schwarte, Jon Schwarte and Jared Schwarte; his sister Beth Ann Najjar of Phoenix, AZ; and his sister-in-law Glenda Kunze of Persia, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oakland United Methodist Church (200 N Main St, Oakland, IA 51560). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
