He was predeceased by: his parents, John Charles and Lillie Anna Mahoney (Grose); his wife Delores Mae Wolf; his brothers, Edward, Donald, Robert and Roy; and his brother-in-law Lewis Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle; his former wife Suzanne Jane Carey; his wife Sue Mahoney of Oelwein; his children, Mark Mahoney (Pam) of Urbandale, Ron Mahoney (Joan) of Jefferson, Bret Mahoney (Deb McLaury) of Oelwein and Shelly Recker (Vince) of Valparaiso, Indiana; and his sister Kathleen Smith of Ankeny. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing and mask are encouraged at the church.
Memorials may be directed in his name to the donor's charity of choice.
