He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lutz and Elnora Lutz (Custis). He is survived by: his wife Charolette Jaeger; his children, Susan Lutz-Recek, Jeff Lutz and Michele Santouosso (Jason) of Topsfield, MA; and his sisters, Barbara Pazdernik (Rich), Solon, Janet Henderson (Jim) and Marion. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
