We are sad to announce that on March 25, 2024, at the age of 85, Geraldine F. De Jong of Orange City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Peter L. Wielenga and Gertrude Wielenga (Roghair); her husband Martin De Jong; her grandson Shane De Jong; her siblings, Louis (Nellie), Edward, Wilmina Wielenga, Stanley (Eleanor Wielenga), Marion (Agnes Wielenga), Hendrine (Lloyd Van Gorp), Esther and Syne Wynia; and her sister-in-law Rena Lyons.
She is survived by : her children, Marlys (Chris Eshelman) of Estes Park, Colorado, Darwin De Jong (Arlys) of Sioux Falls, Leon De Jong (Pam Tallmadge) of Kalispell, Montana, Audley De Jong (Bonnie) of Orange City, Alan De Jong (Jody) of Orange City and Valerie (John Klynsma) of Hospers; her grandson Collin Eshelman (Shannon); her children, Kaylee Hurni (Garrett), April Van Otterloo (Galen), Becky Isakson (Kris), Sam De Jong (Jillian), Rachel Moten (L. J.), Luke De Jong (Hayli), Kelley De Jong, Kristen Korver (Collin), Zachary De Jong (Paige), Allison Jeltema (Austin), Carter De Jong, Justin Klynsma (Amber), Lindsey Newborg (Jake), Amber Crum (Will) and Makendra Vreugdenhil (Drew); her children-in-law, Trudy, Jay De Vries, Sandy and Bill Van Horssen; and her brother-in-law Glen Lyons.
Memorials will be given to the Orange City Christian School Covenant Foundation.
