Gordon K. Brumels Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2025, at the age of 98, Gordon K. Brumels of Orange City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Brumels and Agnes Brumels (De Voogd); his wife Muriel Ruth Spoelstra; and his siblings, Bruce Brumels and Alice Bloom (Roger).
He is survived by: his children, Garry (Jana Brumels), Jana (Jim Muir), Mark (Jane Brumels) and Michael Brumels (Michael Fry); his grandchildren, Stacia Eisenga (Chad), Shawna Eisenga (Jason), Dustin Brumels, Cassie Johnson (Derek), Dallas Brumels (Allie), Aleks Brumels, Amanda Stauffer (Dave), Mollie Hickman (Andrew), Amy Meek (Jay), Kaylee Muir, Kathryn Brumels (Nicholas Cook), David Brumels, John Brumels, Sara Cox, Kelci O'Brien (Ted) and Katie Franklin (Zac); his sister-in-law Doris Brumels of Holland, Michigan.; and his brother Walter Spoelstra. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Oolman Funeral Home - Orange City (216 Albany Ave NE, Orange City, IA 51041). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials will be given to Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City.
