He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peursem and Nellie Van Peursem (Brink); his wife Eveleen Bernice Tigchelaar of Maurice; his daughter Judith Joy; his daughter-in-law Deborah K. Van Peursem; and his sisters, Blanche Schultz and Aimee Heusinkveld.
He is survived by: his children, Colonel Denise Van Peursem of Orange City, Marc (Nora Van Peursem) of Alton and Jon (Carol Van Peursem) of Maurice; his grandchildren, Alyssa Peters (Andrew), Preston Van Peursem (Heidi) and Sara Van Peursem; and his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Leo Peters, Jackson and Wyatt Van Peursem.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Maurice Reformed Church (410 Main St, Maurice, IA 51036).
Memorials will be given to Midwest Honor Flight.
