She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Pitzen and Rosalea Pitzen (Mullenbach); her husband Owen "Bud" Counsell; and her brother Marvin Pitzen (Edna). She is survived by: her children, Duane Counsell, Gary Counsell (Corky), Barbara Earll (Grant), John Counsell (Marsha) and Christina Radechel (David); and her brothers, Melvin "Bill" Pitzen (Shirley) and Roger Pitzen (Gin). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (2985 360th St, Osage, IA 50461). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
