It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alvina Virginia Smith of Osceola, Iowa, born in Churdan, Iowa, who passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Alvina Virginia leaves upon our hearts remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Anthony Veasman and Lura Mae Veasman (Gliem). She is survived by : her husband Larry Smith of Osceola, IA; and her sons, Mike Smith (Kelcie) of Chester, VA and Dennis Smith (Vickie) of Decatur, IA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kale Funeral Home - Osceola (301 S Main St, Osceola, IA 50213). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
