He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer "Huck" Strange and Helen Marie Strange (Rice); his wife Connie Van Haaften-Strange of New Virginia, IA; his daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Reed (Steve Sr.) of Adel, IA, Ramona "Mona" Fiscus (Rich) of Des Moines, IA and Melanie Fiscus of Wilsonville, OR; his brothers, Cary Strange (Peggy Robuck) of New Virginia, IA, Leonard Strange (Deann) of New Virginia, IA and Randy Strange (Georgia) of Indianola, IA; his grandchildren, Steven Reed, Jr. of Adel, IA, Malcolm Scott of Adel, IA, Emily Fiscus of Bridgeport, CT, Catarina Fiscus of Des Moines, IA, Robert Fiscus of Des Moines, IA and Cassandra Fiscus of Des Moines, IA; his siblings-in-law, Carol Carnahan (Blake) of Fairfield, IA and Mark Van Haaften (Cindy) of Monroe, IA; and also Rich. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many other relatives and friends.
