He is survived by: his parents, Vernon Howard Grylls, Sr. and Opal Louise Beckstead; his daughter Kimberly Sartin; his wife Brenda Grylls of Murray, IA; his children, Vernon Grylls (Randi) of Urbandale, IA, Wendy Miller (Chad) of Grimes, IA and Teresa Ireland of Seymour, MO; his stepchildren, Amanda Hesser of St. Louis, MO, Amy Summers of Indianola, IA and Kelly Warzola (Dave) of New Baden, IL; his siblings, Patty Tovrea (Dave) of Pekin, IL and Richard Grylls of Des Moines, IA; and also Vernon. He is also survived by the cat as well as many other relatives and friends.
