He was predeceased by: his parents, William Weelden and Jennie Van Weelden (Bouma); his siblings, John Van Weelden (Cornelia), S. Henry Van Weelden (Grace), James Van Weelden (Adriana), William Van Weelden (Joanna), Ray Van Weelden (Agnes), Peter Van Weelden (Jeanette), Ernest Van Weelden (Mary Ann), Sylvia Kelderman (Garrit), Dorothy DeRonde (Kryn), Anna Kelderman (Richard) and Jean Boender (Cornie); and his siblings-in-law, Ruth VerMeer Van Weelden, Wilma Nunnikhoven Van Weelden, Wilma Nieuwsma Van Weelden and Raymond Meinders (Janice).
He is survived by: his cousin Joyce; his wife Eileen; his sons, Timothy (Sali) of Cedar Rapids, Phillip (Kathy) of Waukee and Patrick of Waukee; his grandchildren, Tythe Van Weelden (Shelby), Thomas Van Weelden and Lauren Van Weelden; his great grandchild Lander Van Weelden; his sister Frances Spoelstra (Lester) of Redlands, California; and his sister-in-law Janet Kelderman (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oskaloosa Christian School or the Mahaska Health Foundation for the Hospice Serenity House.
