It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Yvonne Nelson-Reed of Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving Ryan and Marie Sickels Ryan; her husbands, Bill and Ed Reed; and her brother Gary Ryan.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph "Joe" Nelson (Kathy) of Oskaloosa and Christine "Chris" Neubauer (Dean) of Slater, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jason Nelson and Amanda Nelson; her great grandchildren, Liberty Mowrer, Zoey Mowrer and Alyssa Nelson; her stepchildren, Bob Reed (Peggy), Rick Reed (Janet), Randal Reed (Kim), Wade Reed (Janelle), Jennifer Ray (Eldon) and Melissa Bennet (Jason); and her close friends, Roger Deal and Bonnie Snider. She is also survived by many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
