With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lura Carr of Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away on July 3, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lura Carr to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Alvin Carr; her daughter Joanna Butler; her grandsons, Brandon and Bradley Butler; her great grandchild Zion Leach; and her brothers-in-law, Mike Carr and Fred Helm.
She is survived by: her son Rev. Gregory Carr (Debbie) of Bismarck, ND.; her grandchildren, Megan Leach (Joseph) of Bismarck, ND, Chantelle Zika (Matt) of Bismarck, ND, Danielle Merz (AJ) of Bismarck, ND and Kyle Butler of Ottumwa, IA; her sister Sherrill Helm of Oskaloosa, IA; and her sister-in-law Diana Carr of Ottumwa, IA. She is also survived by 12 great grand-children, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used to pay for funeral expenses and to give to her favorite charity.
