She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert "Bud" Witt and Caroline Ladely Witt; her son Charles Cortez; and her sister-in-law Paula Hershey. She is survived by: her former husbands, Frank Cortez and Curtis Bunnell; her children, Kendra Cortez of Oskaloosa, Jessica Cortez of Nixa, Colton Bunnell of Iowa, Logan Bunnell of Oskaloosa and Holden Bunnell of Eddyville; her grandchildren, Addison McConkey, Maliyah Hufferd, Alllison Cortez, Charlie Cortez-Cassatt and Kayleigh Cortez-Cassatt; and her siblings, Shari Riner (Frank) of Carthage, Kevin Hershey of Carthage, Bryon Hershey (Connie) of Tracy, Carla Ladely (Bruke Ruby) of Ottumwa, Tony Witt (Missy) of Oskaloosa and Pepper Champlin (Larry) of Albia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
