He was predeceased by: his parents, George Haan and Margaret Haan (Schurman); his wife Peggy Jean Brandt; his son Marshall George Haan; and his siblings, Lorraine Kannegieter (Elmer), Arthur Haan (Dorothy), Hattie McCaffery (John) and Melvin Haan.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew (Michelle Haan), Mark (JoAnn Haan) and Marti (Rick Pruhs); his grandchildren, Micah (Brooke), McKenzie, Morgan Haan, Katelyn Macfarlane (Jonny), Larissa Brandt (Conner), Ellie Haan, Zachary, Cade Pruhs and Chloe Taylor (Matthew); and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Christopherson (Tommy) of Ackley and Virginia Haan of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Stout Gospel Hall (407 3rd St, Stout, IA 50673).
