We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2020, at the age of 77, John Hansel (Parkersburg, Iowa) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Hansel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Japen Jay, Jr. and Margaret Hansel (Schutt); his daughter Pauline Anne Hansel; his brother Douglas Hansel; and his half-brothers, Ronald and William Rippon.

He is survived by : his former life partner Dorothy Anne Amfahr; his son James Jay Hansel (Angie) of Parkersburg; his grandchildren, Charlee Anne, Jacob Jay Hansel and Justin Leo Hansel (Jennie) of Cedar Falls; his great grandchildren, Emma, Evan and Elijah Hansel; and his close friend Dade Herrmann.

Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
