It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Abraham Willems (Pella, Iowa), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on December 26, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Willems and Theresa Willems (Lugtigheid); and his siblings, Peter and Joan Lemke (Phyllis Bonnema Willems). He is survived by: his sons, David (Marjorie) of New Concord, KY, Daniel (Denise) of Cedar Rapids, Paul (Jeanean) of Story City and Tim (Erica) of Middletown, VA.; his sisters, Harriet of Boer and Theresa Bishop (Clarence) of Vancouver; his sisters-in-law, Henrietta Reynolds of Frankfort, IL, Pearl Willems of Findlay, OH and Marcia Bonnema of South Holland, IL; his daughter-in-law Donna Willems of Polk City; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Willems (Karndra), Josh Willems, Marissa Krehbiel (Tyler), Mary Beth Willems (Drew Stevens), Dinah Afriyie (Joe), Mark Willems, Aaron Willems (Kara), Nathan Willems (Angie), Andrew Willems, Adia Willems, Noel Willems (Caleb Hummel) and Joshua Willems; and his great grandchildren, Khloe Willems, Ethan Krehbiel, Ellie Krehbiel, Elisha Krehbiel, Antony Afriyie, Titus Willems, Eden Willems, Alethea Willems, Caleb Willems and Naomi Willems. He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He entered the gates of Heaven on December 26, 2020 in Cedar Rapids, IA, succumbing to Alzheimer's disease with complications from covid.
