He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Veenstra and Wilma Veenstra; his parents-in-law, Cornelius and Grace Vernooy; his daughter-in-law Mindy Veenstra; his siblings, John Veenstra, Gerrit Kingma (Theresa Kingma) and Tine Bosma; and his siblings-in-law, Piet Bosma and Joann Menninga (Arlan).
He is survived by: his children, Brenda, Steven and Corwin; his wife Wilma Veenstra; his family, Brenda Olsthoorn of Pella, David Veenstra Olsthoorn of Pella, Derek Joel, Morgan Olsthoorn of Ames, Elliott Scott, Levi Joel, Steven Veenstra (late Melinda) of Pella, Paighton Jo Veenstra of Ankeny, Corwin Veenstra (Sandra) of Pella and Kayla Dawn Veenstra of Pella; his brother Gerben Veenstra (Kathy) of Pella; and his sister-in-law Jennie Veenstra of Pella. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
