It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francene Poortinga (Pella, Iowa), who passed away on August 26, 2019, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Schilt and Elizabeth Verwaal Schilt; her parents-in-law, Gerrit and Dena Poortinga; her siblings, Frank, Geertje and Bertus; her sister-in-law Teuntje Schilt; her siblings, Gerrit Schilt and Lena; and her siblings-in-law, Van Zee, Blanche (Poortinga) and Gerald Vander Linden.
She is survived by: her husband Francis G. Poortinga. She is also survived by her two children and their spouses; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and four nieces.
