He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alvah Scallinger and Nora Clara Walzer (Rooney); his wife Marjorie Mae Knight; his children, Mike Walzer of Sheldahl, IA, Kathy Sawdy (Fred), Laura (George), Klesel and Scott Walzer (Jodi); and his siblings, Raymond Walzer of Scranton, IA, Judy Elliott (Ronald), James Walzer and Allen Walzer (Carol).
