It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew George Harms of Pocahontas, Iowa, who passed away on December 2, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Harms and Alleda Harms (Ides); his siblings, Helen Davis, David Harms, Donna and Doris; and his brother-in-law Phillip Carlson.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Weiner; his wife Sylvia Smith; his children, Brenda Underberg (Eric) of Livermore, Kirk Harms of Des Moines and Kent Harms (Lisa) of Kansas City, MO; his sisters, Alvina Carlson of Algona, Betty Monaghan (John) of Waverly, Ruth Davis (Garry) of Waverly, Mary Carlson (Norman) of Clarion and Norma Ruhnke (Bob) of Algona; his sister-in-law Shelly Harms of Burt; his brothers, James Harms (Karole) of Fort Dodge and Harris Harms (Betty) of Burt; and his brother-in-law LeRoy Davis of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
