He was predeceased by : his parents, George Theesfeld and Martha Theesfeld (Gottschalk); his wife Karen K. Nelson; his sister Delores Hart; his siblings-in-law, Judy Theesfeld (Hout), Al Hart, William Brown, Roger Edmonds and Don Derham; and his nieces, Debbie Edmonds and Melinda Brown Fulmer.
He is survived by : his daughter Karla Pope Jr. (Drexel); his grandsons, Brandon Lutz, Kellan Lutz (Brittany), David Pope, Daniel Pope and Grant Theesfeld; his stepgrandson Drexel Pope (Katie); and his siblings, Belva Edmonds, Joyce Derham, Sharon Brown, George Theesfeld (Mary) and Bruce Theesfeld. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
