He is survived by: his children, Pat Knipstein (Ralph) of Apple Valley, California, Karen Ortner (Tom) of Yuba City, California, Ron Heller (Dana) of Alpharetta, Georgia and John Heller (Lana) of Harlan, Iowa; his granddaughter Melissa Lance of San Marcos, California; his sons, Adam Ortner (Julie) of Roseville, California, Travis Heller (Meghan) of Canton, Georgia and Eric Heller of Denver, Colorado; his great grandchildren, Maddy Callicott, Emily Callicot, Claire Ortner, Elise Ortner, Alex Lance, Luca Heller and Landon Heller; his stepgrandchildren, Drew Peterson (Jen) and Faith Peterson; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jacob and Emmie Overmann; and his siblings, Rich Heller of Portsmouth, Iowa, Bonnie Thielen of Denver, Colorado, Phil Heller of Portsmouth, Iowa and Veral Heller of Green Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
