He was predeceased by: his parents, George McKeighan and Elsa McKeighan (Davis); his former wife Lotus Patten; and his siblings, Donald Thordesen, Delores Gilliland, Roberta Tarkington and Georgene Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Christensen of Beebeetown; his children, John Patrick "Pat" McKeighan of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Cindy McKeighan of Missouri Valley and Kathy McKeighan-Lytle of Harlan, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jacki McKeighan, Jade McKeighan, Julie Brazeal, Dana McIntosh, Justin McIntosh, Sarah Greene, Nathan Mumm, Ashley Lytle, Chantel Lytle and Brooke Lytle; and his brother George McKeighan, Jr. of Lincoln, Nebraska. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
