He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wendt and Elsie Wendt (Thompson); his daughters, Susan (Buck), Lucy (Knauss) and Karen (Burk); his children-in-law, Pat Burk, Steve Buck and Rhonda Wendt; his grandchildren, Burk, Adam Barta, Nick Wendt and Brad Knauss; and his great grandchildren, Abby Buck and Georgia Berry.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Thielen; and his children, John (Mary Ann), Larry (Jeana), Peg (Bob Barta) of Salado Tx, Bev (Rich Priestly) of Salado Tx and Traci Schuning (Trent) of Portsmouth. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
