He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Schlader and Gladys Schlader (McCarville); his wife Lenore Elbert; his daughter-in-law Linda Schlader (Hoel); and his brothers, Robert, Donald, Raymond and Eugene Schlader.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Schlader (Ellen) of Rockford, Michael Schlader (Margaret) of Rockford, Joel Schlader (Nancy) of Dumont, Jerome H. Schlader (Karen) of Rockford and Mary Kay Schlader of Rockford; his siblings, Lyle Schlader (Myrna), Roger Schlader (Anne), Marian Monaghan and Mary Helen Kuehn; and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Schlader, Mary Schlader, Arlene Schlader and Laurna Schlader. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren.
