She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Herbert Weitzel and Ida Weitzel (Schade); her former life partner Glenn Dierenfeld; her husband Wallace Cheney; her children, Patty Mangum of Carroll, IA, Martin Dierenfeld of Sac City, IA and Bruce Dierenfeld of Clayton, GA; her brothers, Merlin Weitzel (Sophia) of Eden Prairie, MN and Raymond Weitzel (Beth) of Ames, IA; her son Craig (Wallace Cheney); and her son-in-law Jim Mangum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Loring Healthcare Foundation 211 Highland Ave, Sac City, Iowa 50583.
