It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Petersen (Sac City, Iowa), who passed away on November 14, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferdinand Wilken and Edna Wilken (Gosch); her husband Reverend Ray Petersen; her brothers, Russell Wilken and Paul Wilken (Bonnie); her nephews, Neal Wilken and Dave Wilken; and her siblings-in-law, Vernon Petersen (Pat) and Irene Waters.
She is survived by: her former spouse Reynold Petersen; her daughters, Linda Bromley (Stan) of Minot, ND, Deb Husebye (Jeffery) of Garrison, ND and Pam Tovar (Rick) of Delafield, WI; her grandchildren, Jen Grondahl Lee (Kwang), Eric Grondahl, Jared Grondahl, Jason Bromley, Amanda Bromley Ruelle (Tyler), Philip Bromley, Katherine Tovar, Laura Tovar Hart (Seth), Adam Tovar, Margaret Tovar and Rey Tovar; and her siblings-in-law, Minard Petersen (Susie) of Lake View, IA, Merlin Petersen (Doris) of Martinsville, IN, Joyce Wilken of Odebolt, IA and Bertha Sundrup of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
