He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Laursen and Peggy Laursen (Paup); his stepfather Cliff Scheffler; and his mother-in-law Janice Peterson. He is survived by : his wife Pat Laursen of Sac City, IA; his children, John Laursen (Laura) of Chicago, IL and Jenny Jevne (Josh) of Chaska, MN; his grandchildren, Margot Laursen, Nora, Henry and George Jevne; his siblings, Kitty Drey (Dale) of Lake View, IA, Kent Laursen (Nancy) of Springfield, MO and Kelly Laursen (Betty) of Sac City, IA; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Bellcock (Larry) of Sac City, IA, Vicki Dehner (Bob) of Vermillion, SD and Mark Peterson (Pauline) of Sac City, IA; and his father-in-law Dale Peterson of Sac City, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, the family requests memorials be made that will assist in a scholarship they plan to establish in Kim's memory that will be given to a student at East Sac County that plans to study in the field of agriculture.
