He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Hines and Ella Hines (Larson); his son Douglas Keith Hines; his siblings, Gerald Hines (Dorothy) and Magel Goetchious (Jim); his stepgranddaughter Melissa Dettman; his parents-in-law, Melva Porter and Hubert Porter; and his brother-in-law Mike Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Hines of Sac City, IA; his children, Lesa Ringgenberg (Reggie) of Sac City, IA and Kim Mason of Polk City, IA; his grandchildren, Tracy Morgan (Jacob), Ben Mason (Katie), David Rogers (Paula), Abby Rix (Tyler), Andy Corderman, Laura May Chapman (Chase), Leslie Kos (Trenton), Daniel Mason (Thaia), Jessica Hines and Haley Hines; and his stepgranddaughters, Ayla Loughry (Keith) and Alyssa Ringgenberg (Nick). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and many other beloved friends and relatives.
