He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Dieterich and Adele Dieterich (Janzow); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Shirley Langner (Locke); and his brother-in-law Norman Atwood.

He is survived by : his wife Jeanette; his children, Nicholle Allen of Kansas City, MO, Carissa Dieterich of Lafayette, CO and Randall (Kristine) of St. Ansgar, IA; his siblings, Dorian Atwood of Fairfield, IA and Richard Dieterich of St. Ansgar, IA; and his grandsons, Hale, Kane, Owen Dieterich and Gus Allen.

Memorial contributions will be given to the Mitchell County Fair and Saints Booster Club.
