He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Holtkamp and Clara E. Holtkamp (Woerdeman); and his siblings, Henry and Frances Besser. He is survived by: his wife Rae Holtkamp (Russell); his children, Laura Holtkamp of Salem, Ann Meehan (Mike) of Cedar Park, Texas and Chris Holtkamp (Kelly) of Village; and his grandchildren, Kate Frary, Bryant Humiston, Lexi Holtkamp and Ally Holtkamp.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for St. John the Baptist Church and Cemetery, Knights of Columbus, or the Salem Fire Department.
