He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. Kuster and Jean Kuster (Gibson); his wife Lillian Chalupa of Omaha, NE; his brother Kenneth Kuster; his son Robert E. Kuster, Jr.; and his grandson Jeremy J. Thygesen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Ward (Frank) of Elkhorn, NE, Linda Daringer (Doug) of Harlan, IA, Sheila Carroll of Harlan, IA and Terri Daringer (Craig) of Persia, IA; and his sisters, Mary Jean Barney of Logan, IA and Beverly Nelson of Persia, IA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.
